Hey guys, I hope all is doing good and studying hard to pass the exams before the dreaded changes of 2017.

I was wondering if anyone has taken a course in financial modeling before online or if you can obtain a certificate to prove that you understand and know how to do prepare financial models?

I did most of the BIWS course and I liked it. I think you do get a certificate at the end if not you can at the very least throw it on your resume if you are lacking modeling experience and going for a related job. Could be a conversation starter in an interview and it signals that you're a self starter and have an interest in financial modeling. If you are doing it just for pleasure then there may be some cheaper alternatives I'd look into.

I currently have a job that's very heavy in financial modeling. Something that helped in my interview is I printed out example financial models that I am capable of creating. It sounds a little corny, but I got the job. I bet not many other people are doing that…
