After getting through FAR and struggling to pass it, I decided to go with BEC as my next exam. My final review seems to be going great. I’m doing sets of 20 MC with Becker’s progress tests and scoring between 70-85% on all of them. During my FAR final review, I was scoring between 60-70% on my practice sets even though i worked a lot harder studying than i did with BEC. Maybe the BEC material clicks with me better than FAR so i am just naturally better at understanding it.

Even though this final review is going well I am worried that I am doing something wrong or am missing something since it isn’t as hard as FAR. Did anyone else have this experience of self-doubt even though review was going well? Any advice would help!

I am also in my last week for FAR and the review seems to be going good, I feel good about the time i have left and what I have covered and what I can do, however I'm sure it isn't enough and I'm going to fail.. I am almost certain I will sit down and the test center and forget every single thing I know right now. I can't feel this good about a section that is known as the “beast”.

BEC though was/is my worst nightmare. I can't believe how hard it was for me! I don't think that you'll get questions you have never seen though if you use ninja mcq and another review course, and I would focus on break even point and memorize any loop holes that can be thrown at you in that type of question, I know as soon as I sat down I completely forgot the break even point formula.. and another formula i tried to memorize was the “forfeited discount” the one where it asks what is the loss (studying for FAR so can't remember the correct terms) when you don't take the 2/10 net 30 discount…

ok that is all I got, done with my study break.. back to governmental accounting for me!

@CharleneR I know what you mean! I made it a point to study the equations for everything and really get those down. Final review is always the most stressful part of the study phase. Hopefully we both pass! Taking my exam on dec 8th. best of luck!

Just relax. You are good. Make sure you review all JE. Know the difference between IFRS and GAAP . Goverment and NFP F/S and all the funds, what goes in each F/S . Good luck!
