I have been on this forum for awhile now and a common thread is that people who tend to feel like they failed are the ones who pass. I wondered if there are people who feel great about passing and then actually did?

    BEC: 7/31/16 (Awaiting Results)
    AUD: 9/8/16
    REG: 10/22/16
    FAR: 12/3/16

I felt great about FAR and AUD and did well on both. It's not a bad thing to know that you crushed an exam, contrary to what people on here would have you believe!

FAR is the only section of the 4 I've taken where I feel confident. I will let you know next week whether that bears out for me.

I had this same thought. I've always been told that if you thought you passed you probably didn't, or vice-versa. I got a 91 on FAR and even then I left the room with doubt. On Friday I took AUD and walked out with the immediate thought that I passed. I hope I'm not doomed…

@QueenCPA I took AUD on Friday. The MCQs were straight forward. I got 2 research questions (one was a pretest question). I was not confident about any of the sims. Most of the sims required calculations.

    @JB

    Thank you for that.

Which study material did you use?

In Q2 2017 I took AUD and after three tries when I walked out I actually felt like I did pretty well. I passed with a 75 and I will take that score any day.

AUD- 72, 71, TBD (now i am pissed no more messing around)
    BEC-8/29/16
    REG-10/10/16
    FAR-70 retest-11/28/16

The SIMS I did not think were crazy. It was a benefit if you have taken FAR prior to AUD, as I had to give some “what should the journal entry have been” type responses on one. Not saying you HAVE to do it that way, but it definitely helps to do it that way.

I used Gleim as my primary study material. I supplemented with the videos on the Roger YouTube Channel (the guy does a good job explaining things, I think) and a couple of Becker video lectures for a few fuzzy topics just for a different perspective.

Without giving away too much, I'd recommend really taking the time to know the different types of engagements for issuers and nonissuers. Know the independence rules, reports, and assurance provided by preparations, compilations, reviews, and audits. That was a section I'm glad I didn't just brush over in final review. Hope this helps!

I strongly recommend learning ALL the reports = Audit, Review, Compilation, Issuer , Non issuer, etc…know the paragraphs …other matters, emphasis of matter. I spent the night before the exam reviewing these and glad I did

And Yes, Roger is a great instructor -I also watch his videos on youtube.

I felt like I did pretty well on FAR once I left the Prometric. However, for BEC I felt like I failed it, but once we got closer to score release I thought I had a chance at passing.

As far as AUD and REG go, I felt like I crushed AUD and did better than expected on REG. I'm sure I passed both, but we'll see come score release.

As CPA2K said, I think it's fine to feel as if you did well on an exam once you've left the testing center. If it were a practice session and you know you got the right answer, you would feel just as good about it right?
