Is it me or does the FASB ASC webpage suck?? I really wanted to practice searching some of the research TBS examples, but you can’t search unless you have the paid/advanced service. I know for a LOT of people that these TBS are probably pretty easy as you can hone in on the keywords. But, for some reason, they just don’t come easy for me. I think because I probably over-analyze stuff; so I’ll pick something that might be close but no cigar. So, with all that said, how do people practice those since the FASB site is so whacked? Thanks in advance!

Wiley test bank has good research questions to practice. Its not a full version but way better than FASB ASC webpage.

In short you don't have to be ASC expert to nail research SIM.

Free version of ASC is sufficient as you still have the chance to see the menu.

Be familar with the menu and use exact phrase search.
