Congratulations to all who passed.may I request to do me favor by answering at least one question?
When you were on last testlet how many minutes you had ? I was having 19 minutes hence couldn’t do 2 big SIMs n it seems that killed me.
I have heard some people had 60 minutes for last testlet.
I am devastated as spent almost 1 year for FAR n still at 60 . I also followed @ana n @Lentil and their potential SIMs thread religiously. I was not lucky enough to finish all in 4 hours.
    I took 2 hours for MCQ .
My problem is I can’t leave any mcq under illusion that yes I know this mcq . Took 3 minutes or more. Do you people skip mcq ? One year n not passed one section , any mentoring is appreciated.
Any one passed FAR with 2 hours on mcq ?

I finished the whole exam with 75 minutes left on the clock.

When I took it in April I finished with less than 5 minutes left. When I took it in November, I believe I had about a half hour left.

I had about 75 minutes left as well. My recommendation is to do as many mock exams as you can, not so much to get a high score on the mock exams, but to understand the pace at which you need to go to finish all testlets. At the end of the day if you study what you need to and you practice enough, the pacing becomes second nature and you move more efficiently through each testlet.

    Hope that helps.

I agree with MIsconnie. I did at least 5 mock exams and finished those with 1-2 hours left. My actual exam I finished with 20 minutes left after thoroughly reviewing my final testlet (and fixing a mistake – woohoo!). Once you know the material, timing is everything.

Bhuekels , u seems closer to my type, what u did for 30 minutes jump.
Tim : you are awesome. So I guess u had 2 hours left at 3rd or last testlet .
Itooshallpass : Many Thanks 🙏 for mentoring.I have read somewhere your grandmother expired . My condolences to you and your family.
I am taking from here two things,
Enrolling for Gliem and will practice with target of 55 minutes for 66 mcq. I hope they may allow me to chose the number of mcq .I am also buying Assault as that will give me access to mcq .
Any other people want to chime in are welcome 🙏.

Regarding Gleim, the MCQ's can be really long-winded and difficult. Despite going through the actual exam so quickly, I often was up against the clock on Gleim's practice tests which give you 75 seconds per question. So don't be discouraged if your time is a bit slower with Gleim. And, yes, you can choose how many questions you want to do and which topics you want those questions to be chosen from.

@Tim , thanks a lot. I may not achieve the speed as yours but even 1 mile close to your speed is good enough for me . Did you practice SIM of Gliem too ?

You can find my write up in the FAR experience thread, or search my posts, but I had 1.5 hours for the last 2 testlets, and only 30 minutes left for the last testlet. (4DRS out of 8 SIMs)
One of the questions in the last testlet was research so I did that first, then I moved back and forth between the other 2 questions looking for “low hanging fruit”.
I tried to answer as much as I could as fast as I could. I actually timed out with maybe 1/4 of the last SIM completed and I am pretty sure I got it wrong.
    Score speaks for itself.

I made more of an effort to move rapidly through the AUD MCQ's and I had more time left for the SIMs so I did not have to rush AS MUCH, but I still felt rushed.
I could have hit submit with 30 minutes on the clock but I used the remaining time to double check my work and use AL to verify anything I could.

I had about 45 minutes and left the test with 5 minutes to spare. I don't take more than 50 minutes per mcq testlet, I guess on about 3-5 of them. I don't waste time if I know I don't know the answer. I”m so sorry you followed the blueprint but didn't have time to finish the sims. With these tests you have to keep it moving. Don't be discouraged, it sucks but you'll pass. Keep studying.

    @satyakatiwal

I followed the Gleim recommended study plan (except I did not do pre-quiz and I did not watch video lectures). That involved doing a couple sim testlets in each chapter as I was going through the material until Gleim's system told me I was ready to move on. During my review phase I did one sim testlet from each chapter for practice.

Honestly, I wasn't very prepared the first time I took it. I was feeling the stress of buying a house and was at the end of my NTS, so I couldn't move it back. When I took it the 2nd time, I did look at SIMs on Roger and the AICPA practice test. I highly recommend taking the AICPA practice test. It just helped me feel more comfortable with the types of questions that are coming. When I took it in November, I finished my first 3 testlets in a little over 2 hours, so I was really right on schedule at that point. I cruised through the MCQ, then the first testlet of SIMs were very tough. My last two testlets didn't require nearly as much detail. I don't know if I was just lucky to get the right questions or what, but I was able to cruise through the last 2 testlets pretty quickly. In those testlets I got more DRS and Research questions than I was anticipating, which definitely didn't hurt.

My first take I got a 60 and I had an hour left on the clock. I probably felt too confident cause I had 1.5 left for BEC and passed. Second take I had 4 minutes left and passed with a 76.

@ReckedRacing I was in a similar situation, 1.5 hour left for last 2 testlet and I had to spend 10 minutes on the research question because it's a weird one. I ran out of time and wasn't able to hit submit before time's up and left 1/3 of the last SIM undone. I was moving on slowly on MCQ but looks like it was not a waste.

Your stats about AUD is impressive. Do you have any experience in auditing? 3 weeks is pretty short for a single section. But looks like you'll kill REG and BEC in a short time as well

I have no experience in audit, my only audit class was 15+ years ago and was right after Enron so the class focused mostly on Ethics. I also didn't go very much, so there's that as well.
I took auditing in Spring 2002 and managed a B-.
My intention was to hammer it for 3 weeks, and if I failed I would just retake in January.

I expect Reg to be the easiest section for me as I have 15 years experience in tax and did the EA exam in 2013/2014.

AUD struck me as mostly common sense type stuff. Perhaps 15 years of fixing messed up small business P&L and Balance Sheets to prepare the tax returns helped.
I know when financials look wacky and what most likely caused the mistakes.
