Reaching out to fellow candidates to get some opinions.

I am currently scheduled for Nov 9th (31 days). I started studying August 30th and currently have 104 hours in. The corp and personal deadlines at work are setting me back a little as far as my intended hours per week I was hoping to hit, currently sub 20 hours a week. I am hoping to be able to focus more on the exam after the October 16th deadline.

I am currently through 17 sections ~64% of the lectures and corresponding textbook. 975 MCQ’s of 1800, currently averaging ~81% on my first pass through. Have not really focused on TBS or Research yet. Utilizing the 9 month study planner and currently running about a week ahead of schedule, hoping for a week or 2 of review before the exam date. This course recommends doing the MCQ’s 2-3 times.

I contacted my course to ask for advice on scheduling vs pushing back the date with the above details, hoping to get some solid advice based on my progress so far. The response was less than stellar.
As we here at the Customer Care office are not CPAs nor are we studying for the CPA Exam, we are not qualified at counseling students as to when they should be taking the exam. In the event you feel you need additional resources towards your exam, feel free to look into our Cram Courses which are typically used as a final review in the weeks to days leading up to the exam.

Any advice? Looks normal? keep trucking? pound sand?

I think you could probably do it, maybe see where you are at toward the end of October and try to reschedule? Is this your first one? as you are scoring 81% on your first go through seems that maybe you won't need as much time to review!

    Thanks for the advice.
I was checking out the closest prometric center and seating is limited so I was feeling under pressure to reschedule or stick with the date.
The closest prometric only has about 10 seats, and has nothing available after Nov 21st.
My second closest prometric option has lots of seating availability all the way through Dec 7th, so I'll have that as a backup plan if I feel I am not ready.
Yes, this is my first exam, and I've been out of school for 15 years.
I'll keep trucking along and re evaluate as I get closer to the 5 day deadline.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
