    One month from today is my exam date, I have 2 govt/np chapters of new material, and I started my comprehensive review today. As I figured, my scores in Gleim are bad. Averaged around 60% tonight, for reviewed material. Considering when I started this endeavor I was much less familiar, I still was averaging 40-50%. I knew I had forgotten all of this stuff. Aargh!!!!

    Excel, I am writing FAR on the 10th as well, so I am right there with you. I think your trending score will go up once you get warmed up with MCQs. I am looking at the last 2 chapters this week as well, but starting to review at the same time.

    It sure better go up, or I'm in trouble. Not giving up, but I'm never sure when I'm spacing these tests out too far, or how much to condense the timeframe.

    FAR is so awful, I feel your pain Excel. Although I'm still waiting on my score after taking FAR last week, I can tell you that I wasn't feeling very good about the exam until about a week before. While I still felt unprepared for it, a lot of the material seemed to start coming together at that point. Hang in there and try not to stress about it too much just yet…you still have plenty of time before your exam!

    I don’t think scoring in the 60s is too bad if you are just starting your review,actually it’s pretty good. I started reviewing this week and am just starting to get in the 70s. You still have a month for review. It’s all going to come back to you. Don’t worry.

    That's pretty good scores for being a month away from exam day!

    I have my first exam in 16 days. I am finishing NFP in a day or two and then will start the review (I have to read/practice IFRS in more detail because I always get those questions wrong). I am sure I must have forgot half of the stuff I read before but I'm going to pound as many MCQ as I can. I am giving 14 days for the review, so hopefully it should be good enough time.

    @Nessie, Dab,

    Remember though, yesterday was merely the start of my review process. I have no idea if I'll even maintain that 60 average throughout. Thanks everyone, just feeling a bit negative about it all. I appreciate the reassurances.

    @Excel,

    For my first try at FAR, I completed my initial review of the material in 1 month and did 1 month worth of ninja mcq. I started out in the 50's-60's and eventually started getting into the 80's around exam day.

    I think if you keep at it, you will be fine. 1 month is plenty of time for review.

    I am VERY confident your average and trending will improve! Everyone feels the same with FAR. The volume of the material is tough. In my opinion, the *curve* for FAR is huge!!!

    Follow the same process you used for your pass at BEC, and you'll be okay.

    @Dab,

    Thanks. I have no time to try NINJA MCQ, even though I purchased them. Heck, it's all I can do to get through Gleim. My scores were about the same tonight. I hate the word “memorizing”, since I'm a big believer in knowing the material; but my God you're right, it's impossible to remember much of it. I am not giving up though.
