what percent of the MCQ, from those of you who took FAR, would you say is math and what percent is conceptual?

    like math: 40%?
    conceptual: 60%?

    etc.

    thank you

Have not taken it yet but I asked someone else about this (they took it Q2) and they said more like 60% math. So more math than conceptual :/

not sure if she just got some math heavy testlets or if it's the same across the board for the new exams

I took FAR in Q1 and I got mostly calculations. I'm retaking it in a few days so I'll see if there's any changes.

I took FAR in Q2 and it was an even balance between conceptual and calculation. Although, I think they are trying to make it more calculation-based because according to the changes they are focused on higher-order skills like application – which is calculation. Calculation problems are about as appealing as canned spinach >:|. They want to make the exam more difficult and complex so… yup..

Think it really depends on which test you pull- I took FAR 3 times and think it broke down something like this:

    1st Attempt- 70% Conceptual / 40% Calculations
2nd Attempt 50%/50%– may have been weighted a little more calculation to conceptual but not much it was pretty even
    3rd Attempt 40% Conceptual / 60% Calculation– this was Q1

    Good luck

and they ask me why I drink...

FAR- 61-next time I'll ask for lube instead of a calculator
REG-75- Never been so happy to see such a low grade
    BEC- 8/11
    AUD- 9/2

Now since last two windows if you do good in Testlet1 then 80% calculation but if you don't do well in testlet 1 , you will see less calculations in testlet 2.
Now new rule is do calculation and at the speed of light.
