I can’t believe I didn’t know this until my third time taking FAR about a month ago, but you can ask the testing center for a calculator and they will give it to you! Honestly I think that thing saved me like 10 minutes over the course of the exam, which may not sound like much, but it matters when you’re trying to crank through your last SIM and the clock is winding down.

    BEC - 69, 77, 83
    AUD - 63, 68, 70, 79
    REG - 69, 63, 70
    FAR - 60

Keep in mind starting next quarter we should have access to Excel. Easy to put calculations into excel.

I believe this will be for the MCQ as well, but not sure on that.

Yeah I've heard the calculator thing is purely by location. I plan to ask for one for my exam on Monday, hopefully they'll let me (fingers crossed).

At my testing center they even gave me a choice between a big calculator and a small calculator! I didn't even ask for one, they just offered. It was awesomely unexpected.

I emailed NASBA to see if I needed their permission to request a calculator.

They said to just ask for one at your test center.

I called my test center and they confirmed that they will provide one 🙂
