    My headline says it all. These units in Gleim are killing me, and my scores are awful. I’m averaging anywhere from 60-66 on the majority of these units, on my initial pass. And with limited time to keep up with current material, not having much chance for cumulative review. My exam is scheduled for 5/27 so I have some time, but nevertheless I don’t feel good about it right now. Ugh! I could use some encouragement…both human and alcoholic. Lol

    FAR in Gleim makes everybody Stupid, including myself. I went through all the 20 mcq's Diagnostic Quiz and Scored 50% or less. The practice exams, I was scoring in 60%-70%. However, the more I studied and understood the concepts, I began scoring in the 80%-90%. I created hundreds of practice exams on marked questions and on questions I got wrong.

    you are not dumb. FAR is hard. take a break, eat something, drink some water, review/rewrite some notes. if you are tired review what you have done the last few days and let it sink in. you have a good amount of time and you will get it!!

    @Skynet:

    Oh my initial diagnostic can range from 35-50%, with tons of guessing in certain units. My final average with SIMS, after finishing the unit, has been around the 60-66% for the failed units. I got weaker on 5 units, and stronger on 5.

    @moniker:

    Thanks. I'm trying to stay with it. This stuff is just unruly as hell. Lol

    @Excel14 – I totally feel your pain! My exam is three weeks from Monday. I'm averaging 61% on the MCQs in the Wiley test bank. I'm beyond frustrated with it all and not feeling good about my chances either. I stopped studying early today and decided a night of vodka was a better idea. 😉

    @ASUalum:

    Sounds like you are actually much smarter than the rest of us! Vodka sounds like the way to go! I envy you though, since this is your last one. Wish I could say that.

    It usually takes 2 or 3 passes to be comfortable w/ Gleim…keep at it!

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)
    REG - 55 (2/16) 69 (5/16) Retake(8/16)
    BEC - 71(5/16) Retake (9/16)
    FAR - (8/16)

    Well… I can sympathize and then some.

    I am studying Gleim as well and have fallen behind 3 study units. The amount of information was overwhelming and I tend to deal with the pressure by avoiding it. That isn't healthy, but that's why I ended up so far behind.

    It's so frustrating… I thought Auditing was hard, but I felt overwhelmed early on with Gleim during FAR and it never eased up. My average scores are frighteningly bad… even compared to my Auditing scores via Gleim.

    Honestly, I have actually studied harder for this more so than when I studied for Auditing and it just doesn't seem to matter. The material is just overwhelming and there are so many different things that need to be memorized… and each bit of information has so many variation with so much possible misleading information within each question. Right now my average score through 6 study units is Test Prep is 65.89 and that's with study unit 4 which I got a 80.11 because that stuff had a lot of things from Auditing.

    My exam is on May 26th… and panicking doesn't even come close to describing my emotional feeling going into this exam already.

    On top of it, Monday is my birthday and I will likely spend it trying to catch-up. Happy birthday to me.

    Joining the club. I have used Gleim and passed AUD, BEC, and REG, but FAR is definitely the most difficult in terms of the study material. It is exhausting how much information they throw at you. I am counting on the exam being slightly less difficult, because I am also only averaging scores similar to the ones everyone else has noted. I am 3/4 through the material and am averaging roughly a 60. At this point, I am so used to getting these low scores that I try not to let it bother me. When I took REG, my scores with test prep averaged out to be around a 62 across a few thousand questions and I ended up with an 81 on that exam. Don't get discouraged by the low scores. Unfortunately, Gleim doesn't have something that specifically discloses your trending scores, but I usually just look at score history and can tell if I am making progress. Best of luck.

    REG - 81
    BEC - 83
    AUD - 86
    FAR - 78 (Done!)

    @mtaylo24:

    How in the world do you manage 2-3 passes through the material? I'm barely going to make it through the first pass, if I don't keep after it. I can't imagine having the time for 2-3 passes.

    To several of the rest of you, we're all in this together. Hopefully we all make it through this exam.

    Excel14 – I passed all for exam consecutively, with the Gleim materials. I wasn't passing anything before that. Gleim over prepares you.

    @Excel14 – I manage 2 or 3 passes of the material by failing my tests LOL. But seriously, I always try to make it through all questions in study mode once, twice if I have time…but if I am short on time, there is a review section where you can review your old tests. I try to review that at least once.

    AUD - 1st - 60 (12/12), 61 (2/13), 61 (8/13), 78! (11/15)

    Obviously, none of us are stupid or we wouldn’t be here, but I am feeling the pressure for sure. The amount of information is so overwhelming, and the guilt if I take a break from studying is almost as bad as the stress of not knowing the material.

    Good luck to everyone. At least we have peoples who understand the CPA struggle. 😉

    Hey man your not stupid, I really struggled with F2 in Becker (50-70%). And from what I hear Gleim is much harder. Just gotta stick at it, learn from your mistakes, don't get lazy if there is something you don't understand don't disregard it, make sure you got it down before moving forward.

    BEC 2/26/2016- 80

    Thank you God
