Currently on Ch 7 of FAR (Becker), my plan is to do Ch 8 next week, followed by Ch 9 and Ch 10. The last two chapters squeezed into one week may not be doable with all the modules and skills practices. I was wondering should I focus on one more than the other or skim through both chapters?

I want to leave myself two full weeks of review for my test on 9/4. I have done a chapter a week basically the entire summer. Looking to use Ninja MCQ to review seeing as I’ve used it to pass AUD and REG (pending).

AUD – 70, 75
REG – 73, Q2 (pending)
FAR – 9/4

Similar boat to you man, only my test is the last testable week in September. I would say skip the skills practice tests unless you are really struggling with the MC. That is what I have been doing. Seems like a waste of time to me to listen to lecturing on something that I seem to understand pretty well and is not too difficult compared to other material.

@my cousin vinny I was thinking of capping each module mcq at like 20 or 25 and forget the rest. I won't really know I guess until I read those last two chapters.

I've done every skills practice they are so invaluable, best add to Becker Review I'd say. I always do them after a first attempt at MCQ's.

I have taken FAR 2x and trust me and the people that have taken FAR, you have to know your nonprofit and governmental. If you're going to master any chapters it should be those two because you're going to get hit hard with them on the exam.

Don't underestimate SIMs. They're 50% of your final score.

@nvm5223 Not For Profit is Ch 8 I'll be able to get through that chapter fine I believe. Ch 9 and 10 will be a crunch.

@BrickellCPA Oh I know, learned that the hardway with old Becker. I've done one set of sims in each chapter and will do another set in each chapter during review.

@Andrew oh okay then that's good. Just make sure to buckle down and knock out governmental. Once you get the material down and do the work for both nonprofit and governmental, they're easy points on the exam that can jump you over that 75. Good luck!

Took FAR in Q3.

You NEED to know Governmental. You could have probably passed my exam by only studying the last 3 chapters and forgetting about the rest

Those 2 chapters, especially chapter 10 are very important.

@Big Mike ,@jj and @NVM thank you.I see the “Cape of good hope”.These are the 3 chapters I have practiced and memorirzed cold but in Q2 hardly 4-5 questions came up in total.Your post has given me hope for Q3.
It seems AICPA learned in Q2 give some bonus marks too.
