I’m taking my FAR exam in exactly 2 weeks, and still haven’t finished up all the sections in Rogers. I think I should be finishing this weekend. I still have subjects that I am weak in and haven’t really been doing multiple choice questions minus the ones Rogers has in the Interactive Practice Section. Anyone been in my boat and still passed the FAR exam, and could give me advice?

I am starting to have a nervous break down and about to freak out!!! I do not want to fail…

I used only Roger for FAR (and all of my other sections). First of all, calm down. It is very easy to feel overwhelmed with FAR because of the volume of material, but feeling like that is only going to make it more difficult for you. To make you feel better, I knocked out FAR in 21 days – studied for 17 and used my last 4 for review. By interactive practice questions, do you mean the questions Roger goes over ‘in class' after he does a few sections? Those are a good check to see if you are picking up on the material. My strategy was I would go through 3 chapters and would do MCQ sets of 25-30 just over 3 chapters after finishing the notes. I did have to slow down when I was completely lost on bonds, NP, and GVT. I spent an entire day separately on each of those topics. The last 4 days, I spent 3 doing practice tests (mostly MCQ's) and devoted 1 entire day just to familiarizing myself with the AL. Do not skip over the AL. There are so many points to be had, especially on off the wall SIMS, or SIMS on topics you are shaky on. Although I felt miserable at the time, I'm glad I did it in such a short period because it forced me to not get bogged down. Also, remember that there are only 90 MCQ's and 7 SIMS – not enough questions for them to ask you specifics about everything. There were several topics I was still shaky on on test day. My minimum goal was to be able to narrow down any question about anything to 2 best answers. You don't have to know 100% of everything.

    BEC - 88 8/29/15
    REG - 82 11/14/15
    AUD - 83 1/8/16
    FAR - 80 2/29/16

See you need to practice MCQs as much as you can which will give boost to your confidence. If you are just studying you will only remember 30% which is not good for exam. I am using Roger too nd there is another tool by the name of prepsmarter which is free for CPA students, so you can try that also.

One more advice, take a mock exam so you can see what is the result of your presentation. Don't lose hope be confident and all the best for your exam.
