    Hello all,

I’m slated to take FAR on Dec 7th and need some advice for my last couple of weeks of review. I have the complete Becker with old Wiley focus notes and flash cards. What’s a good game plan from now until test time? I can commit to 20-25 hours a week and I’ve already briefly touched all 10 chapters.

You're probably going to need more than 20-25 hours per week. You might need to study full time till test time and that's if you are familiar with the info. I don't like studying long. The longer I have the longer I take, six weeks is my max but you have time to get it in in Dec. No time to learn, you must study. IMO. 🙂

What do you mean by briefly touched all 10 chapters? did you do all the lectures and MCQ in Becker, SIMS? Progress tests? I agree-has to be full on study mode:) I have been studying 1 chapter a week in Becker since end of August (that's what my schedule allows) and started full-on review this past weekend-it is brutal….Trending and average in Ninja is 69%, with some 386 questions left. My Becker progress tests range from 64 to 82….I am hoping stuff from later chapters won't take as long to review since I studied it a couple of weeks ago.

I've completed all of the lectures and multiple choice but I'm still lost. I've done some progress test but I'm averaging like 45 to 58.

I would keep plugging in on those mcq's. According to everyone else, the name of the game is to keep doing them. Although I am one of those that lose confidence, and often feel lost when I start to see my scores drop, but just keep doing them and go to your resources to strengthen the weak areas. ( Oh my word, I should follow my own advice :-/ ). Back to study.

    Hi AJ!

I am in similar situation (test scheduled for 12/2). I am about 97% done with lectures (using Roger). my plan from now until test date is to purchase Ninja Notes and MCQ. Possibly hand write Ninja FAR notes (I made my own notes with Roger but I used this similar strategy with REG and I passed so I conclude that it worked). All the while doing MCQ for the next month, hopefully solidifying what I learned and/or brushed up on with the lectures.

    Good Luck!!!

    Hey Soon to be cpa,

Good luck to you too! I'm so nervous about taking my first exam but also eager to get the ball rolling. I want to be able to enjoy the journey a little while enduring the pain lol

Haha – yeah the first one or two are “fun” (only if you get the pass). By 3 and 4 it is torture, LOL. So you are smart to get a study regime NOW that works to carry you through the next 3.
