I just found out I passed BEC. Thank God. My plan is to try and finish these exams before year end before tax season starts. Should I take FAR before AUD and how long to study for each? Thank you in advance.

FAR – 10-12 weeks if you are working full-time. Then AUD – 6-8 weeks. FAR is better to do before AUD because a lot of AUD relies on your knowing something about GAAP. Many people also get SIMS on AUD that are reminiscent of FAR.

funny i heard should take aud before far so i guess personal preference. although some content from far can roll into aud. i recommend tackling the one you feel will give you the most trouble

I took AUD first due to the amount of time I had to study, and wished I would have take FAR first. It would have given me a better GAAP basis of knowledge so I could focus more on the audit-y stuff on AUD. Just my two cents. Whichever you take first will help you on the other. FAR definitely requires more study time.

I agree with @theeaccountant and @gmaxl711. Take far first. If you dint hapoen to pass, it will be better to study for aud during busy season than far. I agree with @theeaccountant‘s study timeline too!

Studying far first will also help with AUD later on, some concepts do roll over. My sims on AUD were definitely far-reminiscent.
