Hey everyone, so I am scheduled to take FAR on Sept 6th. I am using becker and so far I have made it through F5 and part of F6. My study plan(which I am behind on) shows that I will finish the material just a couple days before the exam. I am thinking I have a couple options on making the best use of my time. I could skip sims and progress tests and get through all the material as fast as possible taking notes and doing the MPQ, then take progress tests and possibly have some time to go back over the parts I was slacking on. Other option is to spend thoroughly go through the material at a pace to make sure i’m getting everything but maybe not make it all way through and/or not have any time to review. I got 20ish days before exam. Any pointers or what you guys would advise? I’ve been studying for a month and when I first took on this task i thought I would have enough time but some of it is taking me longer than expected and also life seems to throw wrenches at me some days too.

I have the final review from Becker but I don’t see any chance of me getting through all the material and also being able to go through it. Not to sound pessimistic but if I fail i’ll just reapply and have less to redo next window. I was kinda stupid in paying for all 4 sections and they expire on 01/09. I can either keep studying for FAR and take next window or go right on to another section.

Are you studying full time or part-time? I would suggest getting at least through 7&8 as quickly as possible and getting to your review phase and leaving government for before the test? For SIMS, search AICPA blueprint SIMS (or something to that effect0. Basically for tasks that are listed as analysis or application -they are fair game for SIMS, you need to know those cold. This should give you a good idea as to what you must know (it really is everything but this way you can focus on the ones that are going to be SIMS). I would then jump into progress tests and flush out anything you need to work on, review…Ninja MCQ is a great tool for that, but I would say you need at least 10 days to get through their test bank if you are also working full time….
