    Hi,

Just got my exam scores back and received a 74 in REG. This was my 1st exam so it is really taking a toll on me. I know that I still know the material it was probably a few SIMS that killed me. Do you guys think it is smart to study and refresh my mind on it a few hours a day while still studying for my next section which is FAR? I plan on taking FAR the next window and then maybe retaking REG a few days after. Just because of timing and all. Or should I move all of my exams back? What do you think and what has worked for some of you?

    FAR: 78
    REG: 74, 75
    AUD:
    BEC:

I failed REG the first time I took it with a 72. I buckled down, crushed Ninja MCQs for 3 weeks and retook and got an 80. Its best to retake as soon as possible, to retain the knowledge you currently have.

    BEC - 77 (5/16)
    AUD - TBD (8/16)
    REG - 80 (1/16)
    FAR - 76 (8/15)

One of the most haunting things about the CPA exams is the wait if you fail. The way I did it was to use the non testing month to study for a new exam so I could study for nearly two months, then be able to do a retake near the end of the window by refreshing and studying about a month. If I were you I would study now and take FAR like Apr 8/11/15/18 then study and retake REG May 27/30/31. My scores aren't the best but I didn't want to let the chance of passing pass me by as I really do not want to lose credit for taking too long.

I wouldn't study for both at the same time, focus on one at a time. Its been said here before somewhere but you don't need one more point to pass, you need 75 more, and who knows what they will throw at you next time.

    FAR - 74, 76!!!!(5/15/15)
    AUD - 68,71, 73, 92!!!!(1/11/16)
    REG - 68, 71, 78!!(2/22/16)
    BEC - 75!!(10/2/15)

@DTBird do you think in the meantime I should study for FAR as well while doing this or should I abandon FAR

    FAR: 78

How far along are you in your FAR studies? With a 74 on REG my focus would be knocking that one out. You basically have a month until the next testing cycle. I would try to retake REG on April 4 and then start studying FAR immediately after. Then take FAR at the end of May. Just my personal opinion.

    BEC - 77 (5/16)
    AUD - TBD (8/16)
    REG - 80 (1/16)
    FAR - 76 (8/15)
