Hey guys first time poster, I thought I killed the multiple choice but my SIMS were BS and I didn’t know any of them. I studied with ROGER CPA and did all of the multiple choice questions twice, I’m really discouraged now I don’t feel like shelling out the money for a retake, but I came too far. I am a third done with auditing and was wondering if I should put Auditing down or pick up REG and try to knock it out as soon as possible. Also I’m getting some job offers and am a recent college grad, should I wait until a firm hires me so they help pay for some of the exams, or should I try and take the exams now and get them done as soon as possible? thanks guys!

I failed REG with a 74 a month ago and my score report said I was strong on multiple choice but weaker on SIMS. I know the feeling trust me. Some days I still want to throw my laptop out the window but I just try and stay strong. You have to, don't turn your back now.

Personally, I started studying FAR and have decided to try REG again after FAR. Some people advise that but for the most part some say that the information is still fresh so you may want to just stick it out with REG. When I failed REG, I found out 2/23 and it was at an awkward time because the new testing window (Q2) wouldn't open for another 5 weeks. I think in your situation being that you found out around this time you should stick with REG unless you have another schedule with your other exams that you want to get out the way. I would suggest taking a few days off and then attacking it for about 3 weeks then take it again early April. Many of my friends have done that and exceeded. Although this does not work for all and some suggest to restudy it all over. Might just be a choice you have to make.

How sure are you that the jobs will pay for your CPA? You may want to first check into that because it may not be 100% guaranteed and from what I see and hear, it sucks having to work and take your CPA exam at the same time. Might be best to knock it out.

Wish you the best of luck and stay strong

I failed REG twice using Wiley. I would really recommend Gleim for MCQ at least. They were really helpful in developing my understanding of the concepts.
