Hey guys! I have been reading posts on another71 since I started to study for FAR in September. I took FAR in November and failed it with a 50. Felt awful but I realized what I was doing wrong (which is memorizing the answers instead of understanding the concepts) so I decided to retake FAR in January and got my score back on the 23rd. I failed with a 74 this time. So close, yet so far. (I was overall stronger on MCQ’s and weaker on SIMS-I know where I screw up). While I am appreciative of my efforts to bring my score up from a 50 to 74, the thought of retaking FAR is worrying me. My NTS for AUD and BEC expires in June so the latest I could take any of those exams is by May 31st or else I’m going to waste that money. I started to study for AUD and am almost half way through. My initial plan was to take AUD on April 4th and BEC by the end of May (if I had passed FAR). I should be done studying for AUD by March 23rd if I follow my study plan. Which leaves me with a week before the April/May testing window and here is where I get super confused and need your help.
Should I study for FAR again in that last week of March and maybe take the 1st week of April to study (so about 10 days if I take school time out) and retake it or should I wait to take FAR after finishing AUD & BEC?
I am a full-time MAcc student (Master in Accountancy) and spend about 13-15 hrs/week on school and school related work.
I use Becker as my main review course and used Becker + NINJA for my retake.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!
FAR: 50, 74
