FAILED FAR TWICE IN A ROW AFTER PASSING MY FIRST TWO TESTS

After passing AUD (77) and BEC (78) on my first attempt, I have now failed FAR twice in a row with a 71 both times. I am scheduled to take REG in early March but am trying to find the best way to approach FAR for a third try. Have any of you ever seemed to be in a test “slump”? And how does one get out of it? Any advice or motivation is much appreciated.

Same thing happened to me. I passed FAR and AUD back to back, then failed BEC twice in a row. Not sure which study program you are using, but I switched to Ninja and moved on to REG. I followed their modified ELL program that better fit my schedule and passed REG first try. I just took BEC again using the same technique and hoping for a passing score on 2/26.

    Steve,
I failed FAR 6 times in a row and on my 7th attempt I finally passed. Getting burned out is a real thing. Changing the materials you use to study with can give a fresh perspective. I went from Wiley to Ninja to Roger CPA. While not everyone can afford to go that route, I do recommend looking for alternative forms of study materials to keep your mental focus. Good luck, you got this!

    BEC: 7/31/16 (Awaiting Results)
    AUD: 9/8/16
    REG: 10/22/16
    FAR: 12/3/16

I think you have to figure out what you don't know. I give this advice everywhere on here so I probably sound like a broken record by now, but I cannot tell you how much it will help to use the analytical tools that come with most test banks to figure out where you are weak. Wiley and Ninja both show performance by subsection, so it is very easy to hone in on where you are struggling so you can go back to the text/lectures as well as work more problems in that area. You will probably find that you have a few blind spots that are easily remedied to put you over the top.

I just took FAR for the 5th time on January 31st…I need to have passed this time to be done and not retake BEC! I passed both AUD and REG on my second attempts using Ninja – from 73 to 79 on AUD and from 62 to 86 on REG, but I just couldn't seem to get FAR done in 4 tries using Ninja on 3 of them so I switched to Gleim. I do feel like I was better prepared this last time, but it's still anybody guess. Ninja SIMS are way too easy – the Gleim SIMS and MCQ are much harder. You can get just one section of Gleim test bank for $250, maybe try that? BEC is the only exam I passed on the first try, and I did it with Wiley.
