Used Becker because I had a half off scholarship. I got really busy with work and slacked off on studying. I bought Roger and I have been struggling to pass exams with him. I’m always very close to passing but for some reason I’m seeing stuff on the exam that he didn’t cover. Roger will expire in a month and I’m taking FAR on Monday, (honestly expecting a fail because my confidence is shot with Roger). Great lectures but to me lectures aren’t worth much for exam day. It’s the meat and potatoes that’s in the text and test banks where you’ll find success.

Can someone please orient me to a review program that won’t let me down? I liked Becker and felt they prepared you very well but I don’t want to pay full price… I just got on the Ninja train so I will use Ninja to supplement. Thanks!

    Using Becker self-study
    FAR: (82) 175 hours - 1st attempt
    BEC: (XX)
    AUD: (69) 45hrs of study - 1st attempt
    REG: (XX)

If you're going to rely on the text and the test banks, why not just use Ninja? Or Ninja and the Roger or Becker books that you already have? I don't really see a need to go out and spend a few more thousand dollars on a review course if you're not going to use the lectures.

    FAR - PASSED 11/14
    AUD - TBD
    BEC - TBD
    REG - First take 2/16

Big shout out for the Ninja textbook. I, like you, found that reading the text was the only way for the material to really stick. PLUS the material won't expire on you!

Ninja's MCQs are pretty much the same as Becker. If you'll do everything in Ninja, you'd be fine. Lots of people have passed just doing it. I think the good thing about Becker is they do cover everything and let you schedule your time so you don't get behind.

Also, before your test, you should go to the AICPA website and take their practice sample test. They have 10 MCQs and 6 SIMs. You'll not be sorry you did so. Make sure you take a real hard look at the SIMs they give you. Make sure you understand them.
