Expiring CPA section while waiting on results

My BEC expires in July, 2017 – it was the first section I passed in January, 2016. I’m taking my final part, FAR, in May, 2017. I will not get my results until August, 2017, thanks to the format change.

Does my BEC expire while I wait for my results until August, or does it expire only if I took FAR after July? Has anyone been through this before? Any help would be appreciated.

As long as you sit for FAR (and it's a pass) before your exam expires it doesn't matter if the score release is after. Your exam status may change to expired but don't panic it will be reinstated when you get your score in August. If you don't pass FAR (you will) there's a chance your BEC could be extended but it's not guaranteed (you technically should have two shots at FAR before BEC expires in July)
