    Hello All,

I have just finished my last test (FAR) and am now eagerly awaiting the results 12/19..

In the meantime I thought I’d see if anyone has any information on whether or not a job in nonprofit/private higher education would satisfy the education requirements?

It is basically entry level – AP, bank recs, payroll, etc.. but I have been here for over a year so it’s evolved a lot from my original entry level position. The controller I work for is a CPA and his boss is a CPA as well. Wondering if anyone had any ideas?? Also maybe this past year could count towards my 3 years private?

    Any help inherently helps!
    Thanks!

Per the Mass CPA application under the non-public accountancy experience. “Acceptable expereince shall include employement in industry, government, academia, or non-profit”. I would think your experience should count. The experience letter must be signed by a CPA so your boss should detail your work and I would think it would be ok.

From all I am seeing this past year should count toward the three years.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 79
    REG - August
    FAR - TBD

    Thanks, Skits.

Seems like if you can get a CPA to sign off on it – then you should be all set. Does anyone have any examples of them not accepting experience that was signed off on by a CPA???
