    Hi All,

I wanted to hear the various opinions on this topic. What should be the range of pay for a Senior Accountant at a large corporate company that is responsible mostly for consolidation and financial reporting?

Geographic location? Size of company? Probably somewhere between 60-90k depending.

Forgot to mention this is NYC. The Robert Half Salary Guide showed about 94-116k but i may be accessing it wrong.

@Kev my knee-jerk reaction would be anywhere in the $75K-90K range. There's not much thought behind it. I worked at the staff level of a mid-size CPA firm, and my starting salary was 54K. If you're a Senior at a large(r) firm, I'd expect a decent bump. Just keep doing a little research, and you'll know if you're getting paid what you're worth.

I worked for a large, public company that didn't pay sr. accountants squat. But others I've worked for usually paid market. I'd say 75-95k.

Learn to negotiate and always know they are going to offer 10% below market on there first offer..

Be prepared to walk away if its not what you like.
