So I have one exam expiring on 3/8/2018, and probably will have to take FAR in that quarter if I fail it next week. Does it matter if I take the exam before the BEC expiration date of 3/8/18 even though I won’t get my result back until after?

I would think it’s ok, but wanted to make sure that it goes by the test date, not the result release date… thank you for piece of mind!!

yes. As long as you take it before the expiration date, you are fine. Confirm with your state board if you are still unsure though.
