Exam Changes – New NTS?

I’m sure this has already been asked, but if I got a NTS before the exam change in April, but it doesn’t expire until after April, can you still use it after the exam change? I’m only asking because the price of some of the exams are going up, and I just want to make sure my NTS will still be good. Thanks!

I believe it depends on which exam you are looking to take. I was able to schedule my FAR (where the NTS expires early July) for May, so there wasn't an issue there. I did however receive an email from NASBA stating that if I planned to sit for BEC / REG in Q2, then I couldn't schedule until after the Q1 testing window ends (I'm assuming because of the increased testing time from 3 to 4 hours). So from my understanding, your NTS should still be good, but you won't be able to schedule BEC or REG until March 11 if you plan on taking them after April.

Any NTS you have can still be used for the new version until the NTS expires. Currently, you can only schedule BEC & REG for Q1.. You will have to wait until March 11 to schedule those exams for Q2 & beyond, with your current NTS.

    FAR - 2/16 - 78
    BEC - 2/16 - 78
    AUD - 8/16
    REG - 8/16
