I live in CA and have to pass the ethics exam before becoming certified. Did anyone study for it since it is “open book” or did you just take and refer to the materials? I have read the first three chapters but am finding it hard to focus on the material.

Pretty sure you can download a PDF and then search it as you take the exam.

Ditto. Ctrl + F everything, even the answers… Look at my scores. >.<‘ I got a 68 on the first try.

    Hasy,

So you didn't study, just searched the pdf to find the answers?

I just took the exam last night. I did watch the AICPA online course, but honestly you probably don't need to. I downloaded the PDF version of the notes and “ctrl f” as noted above. I passed with a 95% on the first try.

So I took the exam just to see how I would do (since you get 3 tries) and got a 72%. Do they give you the same test just in a different order or do you get a whole new test

I took the exam last night, I saved the study material as a PDF and took the test without watching the study lectures or reading the text and I passed on the first try. I used CLTR+F to search for answers. I don't know if the 2nd and the 3rd tries will have the same questions.

I found a couple of questions to be a little tricky, so you have to take your time making sure you are 100% confident in your choice of the answer. It took me about 2 hours to finish.
