Erased during the exam – What do I do?

Today I took my first exam BEC. I clearly didn’t read the testing center’s website, otherwise I would have known not to erase.

When I got to the center, I went through the metal detector scan, put my stuff in the locker, got my fingerprints, got my whiteboard and then sat down. I then went back into the main lobby and asked the lady if I could have tissues for my dry erase board. She said “no” and then mumbled something to herself.

So during the exam when I ran out of space, I erased with my finger. Halfway through my first TBS another woman comes in and brings me tissues. Nice, I don’t have to use my finger anymore.

Leave for my 15 min break and the lady that I originally asked the tissues for says that I was supposed to bring the whiteboard to her and have her erase it. I told her the other woman gave me tissues and she said it was because I “made a mess” from erasing with my finger. She then wrote “Tissues” on my sign-in form.

My question is: What should I do? What will happen? I don’t want my score to be nullified because I erased. Any help is appreciated!

I highly doubt anything will happen. Don't sweat it, nothing you can do about it now, but there have been numerous threads similar to this one, and nothing ever came from it.
They can review the video and see you were not cheating. Read the rules next time, move on.

I figured. I should have read the rules because I spent so much time preparing for the actual exam content. I feel very stupid. Thank you so much for the assurance!

Just an update for any future users that may have this issue. Nothing happened. I passed the exam and never heard anything about it again. It turns out the individual testing center has some employees who allow and encourage erasing, while others, do not. I have roommates that used the same testing center but were given tissues to erase.

    Gotta love the continuity <3

I recommend to send email to Candidate care to ask for scratch paper and pencils (at least that helped me to go through FAR and i had way better experience at the test center other than using the silly board): candidatecare@nasba.org. just email them and request to use Pencil and Paper and someone will get back to you and give you the permission which normally last for a year and you can just print it out and bring to test center and show it to them before the test!!!! hope this is gonna help:)

I erased on my first two exams without any comment from anyone. By the third exam I was aware that you aren't supposed to erase so I didn't. I really don't think they care.

Yeah I don't think anything will happen. During FAR I erased and forgot I was supposed to and one of them came and was mad I erased and told me not to. My score was not nullified.
