    Hi All,

I appreciate your help! I have a question that is bothering me.

My upper manager at my current job is an outsourced CPA from a public accounting firm. Today, I sat down with him to ask him if he can refer me to his public accounting firm as an audit associate.

He mentions that the engagement letter with my current firm for his services may have a clause where the public accounting firm may owe 100% of the salary to my current firm if I get an offer there.

Has anyone know or seen this clause before?

I am pretty worried that this clause may be in there, I was wondering if anyone else has seen this before.

    Thank you very much!

I am not sure if that would be in the engagement letter, because I know of people that leave private to go to public and the opposite is true. I think he probably is trying to stay away from having poached you from the client because they could eventually lose that client.

It would be different if you just went to that firm and applied quietly without approaching the person in management and left.

I would look at other firms if you are interested in getting into audit in public accounting

    AUD - 73, 72 retake 7/2/2016

I am so ready for this nightmare to be over. Been at this way too long.

I sent out engagement letters once.

Let's just say the woman was not amused and the boyfriend at the time nearly had a Heart Attack since he didn't propose!

As well as Friends & Family members pissed of as why they were not invited
