Encouragement Needed

So…my exam is this Saturday. Despite the pandemic, I no longer want to prolong the pain. šŸ™ I’ve been studying AUD so long that I’m not sure if extra months will make a difference. I thought I was ready but it’s currently almost 3 AM, and my practice exams scores keep getting lower (I was getting 90% but now 60%). I reviewed again. It turned out I would get wrong for questions I should have known. Maybe I’m just tired and nervous. I’ve been delaying this process for so long, but I must do this for my career. I feel like I’m doing the same work or even more for less pay than the CPAs at my firm. Encouragement is appreciated. Best wishes to any of you who are working on this, too.

Donā€™t let panic or doubt get in your way. Maybe now is a good time to review notes and stay away from the computer for half a day or so. Eating right and getting good sleep contributes a lot to the process. Remember AUD is testing you on processes and the answer is determined by where you are in the process. Recenter, calm yourself and always breathe. Positive self-talk matters. You can do this! Good luck!

    FAR 7/25/15 76!
    AUD 10/30/15 93
    BEC 2/27/16 82
    REG 5/23/16 88!
Ninja Book and MCQ and the forum - all the way!!!
and a little thing i like to call, time and effort!
if you want things to change, you have to do something different

I agree with monikernc. Despite what many say about not doing questions / review the day before, I felt it was necessary to at least look over some things for about an hour or two, just to keep the brain warm on topics. Nervousness is good, because it shows you care. What helps me before exam day (or on exam day), are short inspirational videos to calm the nerves. I would watch Adrian Peterson highlights before exams. lol. I wouldn't stress if your scores look to be slipping, (some of my worst scores on mcq / sim were the week before the exam)

    Diminishing returns and all that.
I also tried to avoid the computer and not do any MCQs the day before the exams to get my mind fresh.
I would review notes and such, but stay away from any actual test taking type stuff.
I am not surprised your scores are going from 90% to 60% when you are studying at 3am.
I had similar experiences when I tried to push myself and study too long or too late, my scores would drop off.
Not the worst thing in the world but it kills your self confidence.
Final push, keep going, you got this. 90% scores mean you should be fine. Trust the process, trust yourself.
Eliminate 2 answers, then pick the best of the remaining two.

Thank you so much, everyone!!! Warms my heart. Very much appreciate it. I worked a little bit this morning so I stayed away from the computer pretty much the whole day. Going to have to play catch up on work this weekend but that is alright. Going to study for a little bit before bed and getting ready for tomorrow. Thank you for the kind words and congrats to you all! *:)
