I have a bachelors degree in a non-accounting major and I have the 150 hours completed along with over 30 hours of accounting courses and 30 hours of business courses. I will have my MSA by December of this year but want to start taking the CPA exams. At first I thought I had the education requirements done, but now I’m seeing some minor disclaimer for IL that part of the business courses have to consist of 3 hrs in business ethics and there’s also a research & analysis requirement. Basically the business courses need to include some research and ethics. The problem is that the requirement is too general and broad. I think I’ve taken courses that have covered those areas, but my universities curriculum does not specifically identify the courses as fulfilling a research, ethics, etc requirement.
Has anyone had this issue before? I want to take FAR next month but am worried I will get rejected and spend the hundreds of dollars. Do they refund your money if you didn’t meet a requirement?
I’ve completed several economics, business law, and more economics courses that deal with research when I was an undergrad.
