I passed my last exam in December and posted asking about online programs available to finish out the last 2 classes I need to get licensed. I’ve been researching all of the suggestions and found some other schools but I’m struggling with finding the specific classes I need. I know I need upper level accounting courses which from what I understand are 4000 level courses and up, correct? The university I did all my courses at suggests that for the final courses I need “Audit 2” and “Intermediate Financial 3”. I can’t find anything that offers “self-guided” type online courses like that. LSU has a course called “Fraud Auditing and Forensic Accounting”. Would that count as a replacement for Audit 2? I did take a “Forensic Accounting” course at my university so I’m not sure if those would overlap or not. I’ve also found 2 courses at UMUC that I’m wondering if they would pass for the 2 I need. One is “Advanced Accounting” which I’m thinking might work instead of “Intermediate 3”. The other is called “Auditing Theory & Practice” which I thought might work instead of “Audit 2”. Or is this course similar to “Audit 1” (which I’ve already taken).
Does anyone know who I can contact to find out what exactly would be allowed for these last 6 credits? I’m in Florida and have 150+ credits but only because I also have a finance degree. Is there a way to look up if specific courses would work without overlapping with anything I’ve already taken?
