Hi everyone,

Planning on knocking off EA by Feb 2018. I came cross the “Passkey Learning Systems EA Review Complete: Individuals, Businesses, and Representation: Enrolled Agent Exam Study Guide 2018-2019 Edition (Hardcover)” on amazon.

It claims to contain information for all the 3 parts. Does anyone here own this book? If yes, is it worth the price? How’s the content in there? Deep / Shallow or is it just fine to pass you if you put in enough dedication meaning I don’t look elsewhere (I know I will have to refer multiple stuff online but is it reliable?)

Also, I see that other review courses are much overpriced when compared to passkey.

I used Gleim. Went 3 for 3.
Very different exam from the CPA. I was certainly over prepared.

I would recommend using a course that offers MCQs. I'm not sure textbook alone without doing actual questions that mimic the environment will be as beneficial.
ProTip- When taking the exam take a brief note on every question 1-100. I guarantee you WILL run into a question later on in the test that word for word answers one of the earlier questions you saw.
It happened to me on every section. It's a major pain to try and find that previous question, unless you took a one or two word note on each one. 3 hours is more than enough time for 100 questions, so plenty of spare time to utilize this strategy.

I used Passkey and pass all 3 on my first try this testing window. They cover all what I saw on exam. They also have monthly subscription access to test bank . https://www.passkeypublications.com/online-learning.html
I know that everybody is different, but it was enough covered for me to pass, also I have a foreign degree and don’t take any tax classes here. Hope this information will be helpful

Hi LoneW,

I used Passkey too. However, the tip for you is the following: I download all past EA exam questions from IRS website (many years ago) and just kept doing the M/C over and over. Trust me, all exam questions are identical except they will use the current numbers instead.
