I have read where people are mentioning the new DRS Simulations that evidently are appearing on current exams. Can someone share more on what these are, and what is expected on these? In particular, the FAR exam.

    BEC (2/28/16) ----- 78
    FAR (09/10/16)-----
    AUD
    REG

Not sure if true DRS, but they would include the basic answering page and question along with “additional resources” for you to review and take action on, possibly some invoices / emails / reports that would actually be generated in the real course of business

    AUD: 70, 80✔ (Expires 1/18/2017 - / Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)
    REG: 61, 70, 75✔ (Expires 2017 - Ninja MCQ / CPAExcel MCQ)

FAR: 57 (just to get trigger time I scheduled 1 week after REG) Retake 5/13/16

Roger CPA Review has a video explaining the Document Review Simulation.

In the video, he had a list of answer choices to choose from.

Some people here that took the test first hand said that they were not given answer choices to choose from.
You have to come up with the answers on your own.

Run the sample exam and you will see the DRS in the SIMS. There is one for REG, can't speak for other exams.

Okay, just spent 45 minutes watching Roger's video on DRS. He says that they don't appear until 07/16 window. So my questions are for those who have taken FAR…. Did you see Document Review listed on the tabs at the bottom, to signify that you were doing a DRS SIM? And, did you actually have supporting documents to review, that assisted with the solving of the SIM?

I'm one of those people who thinks I might have had one on REG. I took it last week. I'm not sue being as that I've never seen one, and I didn't have a drop down list. I had to put in my answers. There was my normal input page, and email correspondence, and then a data page with financial statements and schedules.

    AUD: 98
    REG: 91
    BEC: 86
    FAR: 83

@cb_6185, sounds similar to what I had when I just took FAR minus an email correspondence. No drop downs, multiple pages of information. There was so much information to scroll through it actually had quick links in it to take you to other sections.

First go at the CPA! Only using Becker
    Reg / Nov 2015 - 87
    Far / Apr 2016 - 79
    Bec / May 2016 - 80

Would the TBS be replaced totally by DRS, or be the same but less than 7 with one or two DRS?

    any idea!

I don't want to disclose too much (I wont say the topic of the simulation so I hope that conforms with the rules) – I took FAR yesterday and had a SIM that very very very much resembled a DRS. The simulation had a primary tab as well as multiple supporting tabs with different documents, invoices, and correspondence. I didn't even know that these types of questions were being added to the exam, but I wish I would have known because it was most likely the pretest question since DRS aren't supposed to be implemented until July. I'm especially mad because I spent a great deal of time on that SIM and wasn't even able to complete 2 of my other SIMs because I ran out of time.

    AUD - 86
    FAR - 78 (Done!)

If you didn't review a document and make changes, like in the DRS demo, then it wasn't a DRS pretest.

Multiple input (information) tabs for a single TBS is not that unusual.

I have the same question as someone above. Is this a complete overhaul to the TBS format where they will mostly all be DRS or is it just another type of TBS like the research question where you will see just a couple of them?
