Hey Guys,

Okay so I know that the new DRS sims are supposed to be fair game from Q3 on, but let’s say I see a DRS sim on my upcoming audit exam (which will be taken later this month in Q2), is it risky to completely leave it blank or put minimal effort into it due to the fact that it is highly probable it’s a pretest?

My first FAR exam last year almost all my sims had multiple pages where I was flipping back and forth for information. I have a feeling that some sims are not DRS, but just really long and tedious. I know they were not testing DRS last February!

However, last time I took FAR in Jan. 2016, the sims were all one page. It looks like they are just using longer sims this quarter :-/

So which review course is doing the best preparing you for the DRS? Any more free samples apart from the free AICpA samples?

I found while practicing DRS in Becker that much of the time it was simple rule checking. While there may have been lots of documents and way more information than necessary most of it could be skipped over and just jump right to the parts they're asking about. Not every document is even relevant.

When I took REG at the end of May, almost all of my SIMS were DRS SIMS? Kind of confused now about how that is going to work…
