I took REG today, feel like I got easy SIM questions.. My second MCQ testlet was harder than the first testlet, and SIMs were easy.

SIM difficulty is not dependent on the MCQ performance. If second testlet was difficult then you did well on the first testlet. If the SIMS seemed easy then maybe you just knew your stuff well!

I would be concerned when it comes to getting easy Sims.

I once knew someone who had 3 research question for REG when the normally there should be two.

Not only that, but if you get B Law sims, it is also a sign. It is mostly tax related sims that pops up.

@EMILY You're obviously getting two different answers so far. Just to contribute to the “poll,” I do not think that the difficulty level of SIMs is dependent upon your performance on the MCQs. But – unfortunately – the AICPA's exam-writing and grading systems is one great mystery.

I'm sure you did well, either way.

@skynet, who are these people that are getting 3 research questions? I thought everyone only gets 1 research question per test. that's been my case so far at least

@EMILY – Straight from AICPA: Please note that the task-based simulations are not chosen based on candidate performance on the multiple-choice testlets. They are pre-assigned.

Agree with the above, AICPA states multi-stage testing is not used for simulations.
