Do grades matter for the 150 hours after graduation?

I already graduated with a high GPA and I’m taking 5 random classes at a community college for the 150 hours.

I want to focus on REG, not these annoying classes. Do grades really matter here? Will anyone check them or even care considering my gpa on my main transcript is good?

    No, but school accreditation does.

Is it education you need to be eligible for the CPA Examination or for Licensure afterwards? If yes, then you would need to contact either your state board or your state coordinator who evaluated your education to verify the requirements for GPA. Most states just required you to earn credit, others do not allow anything below a C.

Credits count, grades don't. Just make sure to review your state's licensing requirements to be certain the classes qualify (this shouldn't be an issue for most people).

Also, don't forget that any “C-” and lesser grades that may not have qualified toward your degree (e.g. requirements that some or all classes, including community college transfer courses, require a “C”) will probably count toward your licensing requirements (but double check your state's licensing requirements because this may not be true in some states – I honestly don't know).

I'm one credit shy of 150. I verified that taking the beginning golf course qualified. Unfortunately, my local community college system (one of the largest in the nation) slashed all online classes & physical education-related courses this school year due to budget cuts / disputes with the teacher's union. The only one credit classes offered are “introduction to college” related courses, which count toward my CPA requirement. It's only $55/credit vs. $400+/credit the state universities charge. Will be embarrassing (I wasn't a traditional student to begin with, and am twice their age) but I'm going to do it…

Thank you everyone. At my school, a “D” is a passing grade to get credit, (but only C's count towards your degree, which I dont need anyways).

As long as the people hiring me don't look at those particular grades I'm happy with doing the minimum to get the credits
