With the new exam only consisting two mcq testlets, receiving a harder testlet became more crucial for receiving a passing grade.

In my first go around with REG, I was able to notice my second testlet questions were shorter and probably easier compare to the first testlet, but at my second round with REG I think the second testlet was a bit longer than my first time.

What do you believe is the best way to find out wether the second testlet is a harder testlet and not a medium testlet.

I don't have much experience with this as I have only taken one exam, but I based it on the subject matter of the questions (what requires basic knowledge and remembering and what's more in-depth and requires understanding and application) and complexity of the questions which usually coincides with length.

What did you score on the first exam with the “easier” 2nd testlet if you don't mind me asking

in my experience people vastly overestimate their ability to tell how difficult their testlet was. Its basically impossible to tell. I wouldnt worry about level of difficultly and just worry on trying to get through the questions correctly.

    Aud-75 3x I knew i never liked you
Bec-77 1x being in the bubble is stressful
Reg-82 4x its not me its you...and no we cant be friends
    Far-78 1x easiest section

Doing the multiple choice problems the AICPA releases each quarter will give you an idea of how they determine if a question is medium or hard. I was often surprised at how easy some questions rated “difficult” actually were, but it's really not worth your time to try and determine if you got a tougher 2nd module. Outside of BEC this past quarter, where it was pretty obvious if people got the tougher 2nd module or not, it's usually not very clear because only the “average difficulty” of the module is supposed to increase. I agree with @taxman89 that the best path is just to tackle each multiple choice problem with the same effort. If you get them all correct, it doesn't matter the difficulty!

I don't understand the purpose of trying to figuring out whether one testlet was more difficult than the other. In the end you either know the material or you don't. Like others have said, don't worry about it.
