Hello everyone. I usually never post in this forum, but I was curious what people usually do the day before a test? I have heard mixed reviews on what people do because they don’t want to start second guessing what they know if they continue to do practice questions. Just wanted to hear everyone’s strategy and get a feel for what I should be doing.

What material do you use and which exam are you taking?

If you haven't taken a practice exam yet I would take one. Personally I still like to do practice questions the day before the exam and go over a few topics I felt still needed going over. Most importantly get a good night's rest before. Some people like to take the day off but I feel like if I did that I would forget stuff.

    It really depends.
Ideally, after following a complete program of any type of review materials you’ve used, you should do a light review a day before the actual test. Assuming you’ve done about 1500-3000 MCQs in total, you would have to do just read and review the all the notes you wrote and scan all the flashcards including your improvised ones.
But, if you haven’t completed your review course, it’s a different story. You need every hour you can get to make sure you cover the materials, especially the topics that are heavily tested.

As a side note, eat lots of fruits and drink tons of water and juices (NO ALCOHOL) to get fully hydrated the entire day. Avoid unnecessary phone calls from insignificant people (even from important people in your life), horror and distracting movies/shows, and social media. Just for one day! Any sad and disturbing news can affect a person’s mind. You don’t need that the day before you test.

Light review. At this point, I either know it or I don't. THOUGH for bec, I did write out all the formulas again. Maybe review Gov't for far.

^Exactly. At this point you either know it or you do not know it. Rest is very, very important on the day before your exam. Drink plenty of water, eat large meals, listen to music, get a good nights sleep, and do a light review. I usually just review my notes and mnemonics for about 2 hours and then try to relax. Goodluck.

I completely disagree with the “you either know it or you don't”.

Yes, you can't learn the whole dang test in one day. BUT, you can learn new material. Driving to FAR I had my wife on the phone and she was reading randomly out of my book. Learned something new and had a question on my test and was able to answer it correctly.

Take advantage of all the time you have before you test. Just ask anyone that's received a 74 or a 73. I bet they wished they would have just gone that extra mile maybe the morning of or the day before, etc.

I cram as much info into my head that I can. It has worked so far. To each their own.
