    Hey guys,

How often did you cumulatively review past material so it’s still fresh in your brain? And what methods worked best for you?

My study method was different than most. I only studied cumulatively. I went through all of the Becker lectures for the entire book for each section before taking any MCQ tests, then did hundreds of MCQ's per week on the entire section. `So, cumulative tests were daily for me.

    FAR 04/11/2016 - 84
    AUD 05/12/2016 - 79
    BEC 07/06/2016 - 81
    REG 08/29/2016

I would recommend doing a cumulative quiz once a week as you work through the information.
I waited until the “final review” phase of FAR and really regretted it as I was on that grind for 10ish weeks and forgot a lot of material from the earlier weeks.
My final review turned into trying to relearn everything.

The other 3 exams I was targeting 3-4week study time, so there was no point in cumulative. The whole thing was cumulative.

@Recked BEC is my first exam and I’m spending 9.5 weeks on studying, including 18 days of review. Looking at your study timeline, am I spending too much time? (I’m also working FT)

Every person is different and as you progress through the exams you will learn what works for you and what doesn't.
I did the whole soup to nuts recommended approach for FAR. By the time I got to REG and BEC I was cramming videos and then hammering MCQs.
10 weeks with 18 days review is a decent time frame for your first exam, no matter which one it is. You need to learn how to study and what your strengths are.
No matter if you spend 4 weeks or 14, you still won't feel ready.

I'm taking my first exam tomorrow and the cumulative review is where I definitely feel like I went wrong with this first attempt. With the first couple weeks of study I was good about going back through previous lesson questions to stay on top of it but that didn't last long. Within the last week of me reviewing I have found myself recognizing a lot of topics but not remembering all of the important details.
