Hi Everyone.

I am from Texas and had scheduled my exam for 12/08/18. Well…I drove all the way to my exam only for them to tell me that it was not working and I couldn’t take the test 🙁

They ended up opening up an “emergency window” because there were so many people that this happened to. I tested on the 13th. The AICPA told me that I would receive my scores by the end of the month, but could not give me an exact time frame.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced this before? If so, when did you receive your scores? I’d love to get them on the 19th, but am afraid that won’t happen.

I would guess they would be released in Q1 if there what they told you. Find out from your state board? What does your status say? Like “score pending”? That might give you some indication

In a very similar boat- technical difficulties on 12/6 in Dallas.

I took my FAR exam on 12/07 in Dallas when there was a power outage.^ Have you received your scores yet?

I have not received my score. NASBA told me by the end of December, then told me the 18th but to contact someone at the AICPA. Emailed them twice and never heard back. @FormerKPMG I called NASBA one more time and they told me that if I do not receive my score by Friday, to call back between 8am – 4pm CST and ask for Joe Tate. He is in charge of Texas candidates.

Hope this helps…it just stinks because now we have no idea when we will get our scores. I purposely took FAR at the end of the testing window that way I could turn around and retake in January. But don't want to start studying unless I know pass/fail. Lets hope we get it soon…I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

I had a similar situation! I was in testlet 4, after tech difficulties for HOURS, and my whole exam crashed and reset to question 1. After fighting with NASBA all week, they finally let me take it again on the 15th.

I was hopeful like you thinking I'd get my exam scores earlier, but when I called today I was told that I wouldn't hear until February 5th. I'm really really hoping for an end of the month deal, did NASBA mislead me for a billionth time this week?

Happy to have found someone in my shoes! Do you recommend reaching out to the AICPA?

Don't waste your time with the AICPA, I've called multiple times and they will only refer you back to NASBA. I was told that I would receive my scores by today, and still nothing.

@Rachel Why do you think NASBA told me February 5th then…. I'm so lost and confused in this system! I also feel as though they have no “FAQ” section on this because they don't want people knowing these dates exist lol

I reached out to the person in charge of TX candidates for NASBA (not sure where you guys are from), and he told me that I would get my score by mid-week next week. I also talked to someone else at NASBA and they told me that there are manyyy people in our situation, so they are working on it. She said that they receive small batches of scores after the release date from AICPA, and continue to post them. The latest I've heard is by the end of this month, so HOPEFULLY it would not be in February.
