I have a few questions regarding the following requirement:
(1) at least 30 semester hours, or the equivalent in quarter hours, of undergraduate accountancy courses which shall include no more than six semester hours of accounting principles and no more than three semester hours of business law.
When they say accounting principles courses… what exactly does that mean? For example, as part of a general business degree you are required to take Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting – which in my mind are principles classes. However, then as part of the accounting concentration of the business degree you may be required to take Financial Reporting I and II, or Advanced Managerial Accounting. My question is if those courses are also considered principles courses or if they count towards the 30 hour requirement?
I was approved to sit for the exam. I have an accounting degree. I have 150 credit hours from a double major. I want to make sure I will not have any issues once I pass the exams.
