    Hey,

I was wondering if I could call the State Board of Accountancy and ask them if I meet the unit requirements for the CPA License. I already submitted my transcripts when I registered for the exams. I went to community college then a four year university. When I transferred not all of my units from community college transferred over to the four year school, I wanted to know if they would count for my CPA educational units.

    Thanks!

I called NV board of accountancy. She told me, “E-mail your unofficial transcripts and I will look at them before you apply.” She e-mailed me the next day after I sent them to her and said, “You meet all the requirements. You can apply at your earliest convenience.” It was great service. Very fast turn around and very friendly.

In CA you cannot register for the exams unless the CBA sends you an NTS. And you can't get an NTS without them looking at your transcripts and having 150 units. So something is not matching here.

That's not true. The requirement to take the exam is not the same as to get a CPA license in CA. To take the exam, you just need a 24 units of accounting courses and 24 units of business related courses. You can get NTS and only have a total of 48 units on hand. 150 units is a requirement in order to get your license after you pass the exam.

And please tell me how to get a 99 in AUD Orz

Do Gleim (skip the videos). Then do all Ninja MCQ two times.

And that is how you get 99.

FYI, you cannot test in CA without a degree.

I think the OP is done with the exams if I read correctly and just wanting to get an official word if they meet the licensing requirements before they apply. Hate to say I'm not sure in CA if they will pre evaluate your license app but call them, you've got nothing to lose.

I am currently in the process of taking exams. I just was not sure if I met the 225 quarter units requirement for the CPA license. I wanted to take classes in the summer when it is less busy. I called today and they said they would not review my transcripts before applying for the license…

but what is your concern? Does community college credit count? Yes it does as long as you have transcript from the college.

I took Business Calculus and Calculus at community college. When I transferred the university only gave me units for one of the courses. I wanted to know if the BOA will do the same thing or if they will give me units for both courses. I am only a few units short and rather not take a class if I do not have to, but I am not sure…

I once emailed the CA state board regarding whether or not a course counts toward the requirement. They were able to tell me the answer in the reply. You may just email over the course title and description to them and see what they think about it.

@eesti – Did I use Gleim for FAR?

I used Gleim and Ninja MCQ the last 3 times and passed them all with a 91 average. But I said “and”.

I took FAR this week. I finished the Gleim course but only completed 15% of the Ninja MCQ and none of the sims. I don't think Gleim by itself can help you pass, but you can pass with Gleim and Ninja. I expect to get a fail on Wednesday, but will finish the rest of the Ninja questions and sims before the re-test.

I can't really judge Gleim by itself for FAR.
