How do you guys think the Coronavirus will impact exam testing the next few weeks? Hardly any impact? Maybe just a higher than usual number of people coughing around you in the test room? Or maybe cancel some exams? Or at least rescheduling? Think I’ll be able to re-schedule my FAR exam and save my horribly unprepared arse? 😀

Ok so this Coronavirus is now a pandemic. Will Nasba post anything concerning prometric or instructions in general for CPA candidates.

    It begins with a 75

most recent (last saturday) prometric experience:
huge hand sanitizers were available in the waiting area and the area right before going into the test room
most of prometric people wore surgical gloves and some of them wore masks too
no one wore mask (no one coughed either) except them but many people frequently used hand sanitizer provided by Prometric
every time after finishing a person's test, prometric staff went to the seat first and wiped desk/keyboard/mouse with disinfectant wipes before a new person comes in.
this is pretty much i remember.

    “Will Nasba post anything”

We're currently in a blackout period until April. At this time, they have no real reason to say anything, no one's testing at the moment. If I were running NASBA, I'd give it a couple weeks, see if things settle down. If not, then they should consider re-scheduling early April exams.

    NASBA Posted this: https://nasba.org/app/uploads/2020/03/CVirusDoc_FINAL.pdf

NASBA would not postpone/reschedule the exams, they do not have the ability to do that. Prometric controls if the test centers are opened or closed. If they keep the test centers open then they would expect you to take the exam. If the test centers are closed, then that is beyond your control and then CPA Examination Services or your state board would be able to assist (depending on who you applied to.) Always reach out though for more information, go directly to the source, know who you need to talk to (e.g. dont call NASBA because Prometric cancelled your appointment, contact Prometric.) Some people follow third party information or play the “well I didn't know” or “Well no one told me” card and get burned.
