    Hello All,

I passed my final two exams on the last release date a few weeks back. Does anyone have any idea when I will receive my letter for next steps? I am registered in New York. Anything I can do to be proactive while waiting? I am impatient and after a year of taking this test I just wan to have my license in hand.

I live in VA. I passed my final exam with the last release and i already have my license. I printed my letter from NASBA for my last test which also showed I passed the other three within the time frame. I paid the license fee online, completed the AICPA ethics course, got my employment verification completed and faxed everything to VA. They issued my license the next day. If you look me up on VA CPA site I am listed as acitve. I am only waiting for my wall CPA certificate from VA and they said that would come in 4-6 weeks.

I don't think you need the congratulatory letter if you have a NASBA score release with all four on it.

It varies by state, MA will not let you fax and they specifically state you need the letter. That's great that you got your license so quickly. Mass doens't require the ethics course, but I'd trade that in for an ethics course and a quick license like VA.

lexus, my understanding is that once you have been accepted under a pathway, you are stuck on that pathway. i asked NYS if i could sit under the 120hr rule, and then switch to the 15 year experience path once I hit the 15 years of full time work experience and was told I could NOT switch pathways once started.
i would call or email NYS to be sure they still have your Form 1 and payment on file, I believe they hold onto the files for 10 years, as per their website.
you can find their phone number on the website or in the NYS time to process thread on here.
You only list your passing scores and dates on the forms, but i do not think you need to resubmit the form 1 if NYS still has it on file.

I took REG on 09-10-17, received the score report e-mail (just let me know that I passed) on 09-21-17, and received the physical congratulatory letter on 09-22-17. The letter showed my passing scores and notified me about the fact that there are additional requirements that must be met. However, it did not go into detail as to what was needed.

@SpencerJamesCPA, what state did you sit for the exams in? I sat in New York and still haven't received a letter. But knowing how New York board operates, I doubt they will send it quickly.

Finally received my letter on Saturday (10/14/2017) from NASBA CPA Examination Services. I sat for the exams in NYS.
