    Hey NINJAs, question for anyone who has had computer issues during am exam.
    My understanding is that Prometric reports some kind of irregularity with a candidates exam if there is a computer issue but that the candidate is supposed to file a written incident report form and email to the NASBA candidate care email. (Per Notice of Attendance and NASBA via phone) Unfortunately, this happened to me a few days ago and I emailed NASBA within 24 hours of the exam. I haven’t received a response. Is that normal? What really happens if exams are affected by equipment malfunction?

    You just wait patiently.
    The person who was in charged of CPA Candidates/problems passed away this last March (https://obits.tennessean.com/obituaries/tennessean/obituary.aspx?pid=188613260; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAhyHwCXkP8). She was an amazing woman!! Had a chance to deal with her twice due to problems with Prometric.
    I am not sure who took her position, but I can reassure you that you have to wait.
    I never got a chance to finish my exam that I took in March, but I got the score (after finishing only MCQ)! My advice…. cc your Board with the issue.
    Fight smart! Good luck.

    Power went out at the prometric during my AUD exam and I couldn't get back into the exam for 2 hours. I noted it at the end of the exam, but never heard anything from anyone.

    As per NASBA customer service, leaving a note at the end of the exam doesn't count. One must send an message/email within 5 days after the exam. I always question why we are asked to type anything there then (if it has no value when needed).

    My suggestion…. ALWAYS memorize your NTS. I do not trust the Prometric people. Once I was taken away the laminated pages without having a chance to write down my NTS.

    @AF… Congratulations!! Great job!

    NASBA reached out to me …

    “Kathleen Love-Scales is our new Candidate Care Advocate and she can be reached by emailing candidatecare@nasba.org. We do look at exit survey comments, however, candidates are advised to report any issues at the test center to NASBA within 5 days of testing so we can investigate.”

    So when someone's computer crashes or a candidate experiences any kind of computer issue which causes them to lose time on an exam, does NASBA do anything? Does the candidate get a free re-take? Or is all this candidate care and “submit a report and NASBA will look into it” just BS and it's tough luck for the candidate?
