I am sending in all my materials by priority mail this monday. My state has said to have longer decision time than 10 days (they said around 2-3 weeks). Am i going to get my NTS back in time to schedule a test late may/early june? or do you think those are filled up already?

I'm not sure about when you will get your NTS but you could use the availability tool in prometric site to check the available seats in your preferred locations.

You do need your NTS check the availability.

Your post is a bit vague. Do you mean sending in your transcripts, etc and getting your NTS? All I will say is that if you are missing a single item, your application will take weeks longer than if you had sent everything initially. My paperwork took about 6-8 weeks. I was missing one item, and they wanted clarification with something else.

As far as scheduling goes, it totally depends where you are located. If you are in NYC, there are many spaces because there are several Prometrics Centers. If you are somewhere less populated, it may be an issue. You can always write in other cities or states if necessary.

I think @sagittarian meant to say “You do NOT need your NTS check the availability.”

Availability varies by location and apparently by exam section. Checking the sites convenient to you is the best way to gauge how quickly those spots are filling up. Anecdotally, there seems to be a lot of people rescheduling from early May to early June to get more study time. But you could get lucky. Also, if you don't work full time, or can take a personal day, it seems like midweek dates fill up slower than weekends.

Big, I nearly had a breakdown sending all this stuff in. I wanted to write at the end of Aug, so I started the process mid-May and got my NTS the end of July. It was all because I sent in my transcript (which I could not intercept) with one mark missing– because the prof took 3 weeks to enter grades.

Then they had an issue with a transcript from another country that I did not need at all for my 150 hours. I had to pay $350 for them to in-house “translate,” even though it was in English.

I was on the phone with them at least an hour or two a week all summer.

I was quite scared that I wasn't going to make it, but there were many slots open at that time. Its better to send everything in at once, but maybe if there is not much time in between your submissions, it won't take forever like it did for me.
