Hello all-
I have recently passed my last section of the CPA Exam and will soon have alot of spare time on my hands, as my winter internship will be over in a few weeks and the final semester of my MAcc program will not begin until the middle of May. I will then start working as a full-time associate in the beginning of October (with the summer semester concluding in mid-August).
Point is, I will be working in audit and have always been intrigued by the Certified Fraud Examiner certification. With a significant amount of time on my hands, is it worth it to give it a shot? I’ve heard that it only requires 1-2 months of studying and is much less difficult than the CPA. Also, with a B.S. in Accounting, will I be eligible to sit for the exam (I will have 139 credits and only internships as work experience)?
Thanks!
