Hi! I will be graduating this May and will be pursuing my masters in Accounting this summer (graduating in August). I’ve read that I can mail by CPA application to the CBA prior to my graduation (they require a bachelors–if I am not mistaken?)–is this is still true? I know they will say I have not met the requirements, but if I have my school send my transcript as soon as I graduate, would that suffice? If/When they reject it the first time, will I have to pay the fee again? Does anyone know how long it would take to process then?
I will be working in CA, but I go to school in NY, so my advisers are versed in NY’s policies. I don’t understand why California’s process is so long and unnecessarily complicated–but any tips on how to navigate this would be great.
Also because my start date for work is January 2019, I’m hoping to finish at least a couple of the exams –so I will be able to study full time (at least after August). How long should I budget for each exam (with full-time studying)? I really want to take & pass REG in 2018 before the changes to the exam.
Is this doable:
AUD: End May-Mid July – Will be in school during this time
REG: End July-Early Oct – In School until end Aug, will be in Europe for 2 weeks, then full-time study
BEC: Mid/End Oct – Dec – Full time studying
FAR: Dec – January (hopefully before work starts–not sure exact date)I know its a lot–but I would appreciate any insight, tips or help.
Thanks so much!
