Hi community, just wondering if it’s ok to use excel for calculations during the actual exam. I saw some people say they give you calculators and scratch paper. Not sure if that’s the standard.

There is an excel module built into the exam software. it's all I use for calculations. It's a stripped down version of excel but still allows basics like sum() using cell references.

It must be different from state to state then, because the ones I've used (NC) were available the entire exam, including multiple choice.

I'm asking because it's a lot easier for me to take notes and do calculations in Excel than calculator and paper. I'm going to take the exam in Cal and the becker review instructor (recorded vidoe) mentioned that Excel is allowed and she was using excel to explain SIMS.
