    Hi guys,

I took REG in Feb and BEC in Mar, which I failed both. I am very devastated since I studied hard. For the next 6 months, I am planning on studying approximately 40 hrs a week and even more from June since I am going to graduate in May. I am expected to start working in early October, so I really hope I can pass all four by then. I am very nervous due to the change in the exam and my confidence hit the floor after failing two in a row. Do you think I can pass all four sections in 6 months?

I am studying with Becker and trying to do Ninja MCQ for all sections from now.
    Following is my exam schedule.

    AUD – May 3
    FAR – Jul 3
    REG – Aug 14
    BEC – Sep 10

So doable. Especially if you aren't working. I've been working full time since I started studying in October. Since then, I've taken and passed BEC, FAR, and AUD and will take REG at the of next month (after tax season is over). So closer to 7 months, but without work I would've tried to do them in like 4 or 5.

I saw a term on here today – voluntary immersion. If you can convince yourself that you want to learn the material, it'll become that much easier to study. That was a major key for me, since I wasn't a super diligent student and until I took these exams I always though I was just horrible at taking tests.

I am planning on taking all the exam by September.
retaking audit and BEC on April
    July REG
    Sept FAR

Its definitely doable. My younger brother took all his exam in 6 months and passed while working and going school full time.

There is a reason the AICPA gives candidates 18 months to pass all 4 exams – because they are very challenging! Personally, I do not know anyone who has passed all the exams in 6 months. But, I read of candidates claiming they passed in 6 months or less… Stay focused and grind through each exam one at a time. Goodluck!

As long as you aren't working full-time, it's definitely doable. I took all four during the past summer between graduation and starting work (4 months). Just treat studying like it's your job (: Give yourself deadlines and have fun with it!

Thank you for the comment. Are you interested in keeping in touch to motivate each other and keep track of the study progress? I am looking for a study partner to pass all sections in 6 months.

It is possible, but since you have missed on two exams I will say to focus on the quality of your studies. Take the exams when you are ready and don't force yourself to take an exam before you are. It would save you a lot of time if you delay an exam a few weeks and pass versus failing and having to start over with studying for that section.

I work full time(50hrs a week on average) and with a one year old son. I technically passed all four parts in approx. 6 months, but I actually studied roughly 8 months. I could of done it sooner than that but I took way too much time off between FAR and AUD.

    FAR-Sep. 8th
    AUD- Dec. 9th
    REG- Feb 8th
    BEC- Mar 10th

Since you can study full time and you have plenty of time. I don't see why you can't do it. Studying 40hrs a week is probably not realistic even if you do not work. It seems to me you would get burnt out. You don't need to study more than 20 hrs a week and you could still pass within 6 months. You can definitely do this, just stay focused and on task.

    Good Luck

Definitely a ballsy goal, but doable especially if you're not working. I think the answer to whether or not you can do it is entirely based on the type of learner and the type of test taker you are. Even if I wasn't working, I wouldn't have been able to do it in 6 months. I just needed 2-4 months to process and absorb the information for each exam, its just the way I took to it. But I had a roommate who smoked them all in 6 months while working OT, so it entirely depends on the individual.

Thank you all for the comments.

As I failed twice, I should focus more on the quality. I know it's going to be difficult but I will try my best for the next 6 months.

    I think it's definitely doable!

It took me 9 months, including failing REG with a stinky 74 and then retaking it right after. I work close to 60 hours a week and have a family. It's all about commitment, and since you are not going to be working you have plenty of time to get ready. Make a study plan and stick to it.

I used Becker and I didn't feel the need in any additional study material, only Ninja audio for REG and FAR since I had to use every minute to study.

    Good luck!

Without a doubt possible, especially if you are studying practically “full time” during the week. This is especially true if you already have a very strong foundation in some of the topics.

Like @futurecpa2012, I took them all in 6 months (first on June 10 and last on Dec 10) and studied closer to 8 months in total. This is all while working an average of 65 hours a week (never less than 50) and being over ten years out of school. Total study time was approximately 200 FAR, 100 REG, 80 AUD, 100 BEC. For FAR, I took off one full week of work (had some vacation to burn) and studied 70-80 hours that week. That certainly helped.

Oh yeah, just keep telling yourself you want a GTR(insert your choice) as a daily driver, and you want to buy a million dollar home with all cash no debt.
